Trident descended on South London on Friday (30 November) to celebrate our colleague, principal building surveyor Vicky Green, for making the Young Surveyor of the Year shortlist for 2018. Even though she was pipped to the post by Bidwells’ Jonathan Wright, we are still elated at how far Vicky has got and even more proud of the work she has done to get there.
We were delighted to find that Vicky had been nominated after our PR team entered her submission in September. Trident had never been shortlisted before and so it was a pretty big deal when she made the list – not that we were shocked, of course.
Her efforts on maintaining our PropTech offering, her work for third-sector organisations and mentoring our assistant surveyors through to passing their APCs are more than enough to qualify for her YSOYA nomination, and Trident was happy to celebrate with her.
Although it is ‘just an award’, we should celebrate all people who work hard and are worthy of praise. Having been put to the task by her directors, Vicky was the ideal candidate for nomination. RICS thought so too, as she beat the competition to be shortlisted alongside just seven other contenders.
As ever, we are so proud of the work our staff do at Trident and moments like this make it all the better.
