Clothes are immersed in a solvent called Perchloroethylene (PERC) when dry cleaned. When released into the air, PERC can contribute to depletion of the ozone layer.
Some dry cleansers are starting help towards the environment by using more benign solvents that don’t contribute to global warming.
Try buying clothes that can be washed rather than dry cleaned.
