Trident 2010 Golf Day
05/07/2010
Trident held its annual Golf Day at The Belfry Brabazon course last week, and a hard fought individual contest was won by Sam Denning of ING with an excellent score of 35 points off a handicap of 10. Following closely behind in 2nd and 3rd place was Ollie Mitchell of Realis and Ed Brown of ING with 34 and 33 points respectively.
Some spice was added to the team event with the introduction of handheld leaderboard technology, creating a great deal of tension when approaching the signature 18th hole. This event was won by Matt Clare’s team thanks to Ed Amery of Aberdeen sinking a last gasp Dennis Wise on the final hole (which was initially claimed to be around 12 feet...).
Nearest the pin was won by Ollie Mitchell of Realis and the longest drive by a long long way by Johnny de Lisle of PMB Holdings. Our very own Andy Lynch secured the wooden spoon with a remarkable 6 points.
