Three Peaks Challenge 2008

A team of intrepid hill walkers from Trident successfully scaled the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales at the weekend with equipment kindly sponsored by Cube Interior Solutions.

After an arduous 13 hour journey to the salubrious Glen Nevis Hostel on Friday, which included an unscheduled stop in Fort William courtesy of a broken down bus, Ben Nevis was conquered on Saturday morning in 5 ½ hours despite quite dreadful weather conditions followed by Scafell Pike, in 4 ¼ hours and then finally Snowdon in the same time.

The aim was to complete all peaks and the travel between in 24 hours and whilst the walking was completed in good time bus break downs, travel times between the peaks and dubious navigation on them resulted in the deadline passing as the team descended Snowdon.
