Trident’s downhill Challenge
04/02/2008
Its not often that we report on anything involving Trident on a “downward slope” but thankfully on this occasion it was simply snow and gravity at work.
Trident’s trio of Scott Young, Owen Pottle and Matt Clare attended this year’s 20th Anniversary LSH Ski Challenge on the picturesque slopes of Courmayeur in northern Italy at the weekend.
The Trident team did not unduly trouble the judges or the timekeeper this year, but might have won a prize for the fastest snow plow, had there been one.
Messrs Pottle and Clare are pictured above shortly before their hopes of landing a trophy were crushed in an avalanche of tangled skis and boots, when they crashed into one another at high speed during a practice run before the competition.
The trip was, as you might expect, enjoyed by all. Unfortunately, tour rules dictate that we are unable to report anything further.
We aim to do better next year, with better luck, and a better team.
