Trident raise the bar
30/11/2009
Trident’s Glasgow Office has recently completed a reinstatement scheme of three bars at The Theatre Royal, Glasgow.
The Theatre Royal was subject to extensive water damage, caused by a damaged cistern within a top floor rest room area. The water ran, over the course of a single weekend, incessantly through ceilings and floors, resulting in tens of thousands of pounds worth of damage to wall linings, ceilings, floor coverings, fixtures and fittings.
Trident were appointed by Glasgow Theatres Limited to initially assess the impact of the water damage and thereafter to develop a scope of works to revive the bars and associated areas to their former glory.
Trident liaised closely with the client to ensure that all specialist design features were retained and where necessary reproduced, and were delighted to meet strict phased handover timescales to ensure that the bars were returned to operation as soon as possible.
The project is another example of Trident’s experience with buildings of historical importance and reiterates the adaptability and level of prompt service our clients have come to expect.
