Trident have recently become members of the UK Green Building Council.
The UK-GBC was set up in 2007 to provide clarity, purpose and co-ordination to the sustainability strategy for the construction and property sector. As a member of the UK-GBC, Trident aims to contribute to the organisations mission ” to dramatically improve the sustainability of the built environment, by radically transforming the way it is planned, designed, constructed, maintained and operated”.
There are a variety of members from all sectors including suppliers, contractors, consultants, occupiers, developers, NGO’s, academic institutions, government agencies with the same drive and determination to influence the way the built environment operates in our society.
In the UK, buildings are responsible for 43% of our total carbon emissions and also impact on the production of waste and the consumption of water, timber and other materials.
Membership of the UK-GBC underlines Trident’s commitment to developing a sustainable agenda in the property sector which is reinforced by our own Carbon Neutral status as a business.
