The first for Edinburgh

Trident’s new Edinburgh office has completed a comprehensive refurbishment of a 3,530m² (38,000ft² ) industrial/distribution unit at Seafield Trading Estate on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
Although at the outset the project was serviced from Glasgow, the final snagging and other elements have been completed from the new Edinburgh office since the opening on 3rd July 2009. The scope of works comprised reconfiguring the existing layout to provide a new large unit of circa 2,322m² (25,000ft²) and two smaller units to the front of the premises circa 603m² (6,500ft²) each.
Timescales were extremely tight due to an incoming tenant requiring entry to the large unit within 8 weeks of the start date onsite. In the role of Lead Designer and Contract Administrator, Trident pulled all parties together and sectional handover was achieved a early, allowing the tenant to enter and progress with their own fit-out.
