Northern Culture
12/05/2008
2008 is Liverpool’s year as European Capital of Culture and the city, which has more historic buildings than any other outside of London, is undergoing a major regeneration.
Trident has been on the spot advising the owners of Princes Buildings in Liverpool City Centre. The red brick Listed building is located in one of the city’s seven ancient streets. Designed in 1882 by the architect Henry Shelmerdine for typical Victorian mixed use purposes, it comprises 30,000 sq ft, (2,787 sq m) of commercial space and contains one of Liverpool’s oldest surviving houses and warehouse.
A full measured survey, the production of plans, plus a report on localised flood damage with a successful landlord insurance claim, have been the starting points in helping the client take stock of their interests in this piece of heritage.
