Golf day at Stoke Park
19/06/2006
40 golfers took part in Trident’s 2006 Golf Day on Friday 16 June at Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire, undisputedly one of the finest parkland courses in the country and recently voted into the World’s top 100.
The course has hosted some significant moments in history including the first ever PGA Matchplay tournament in 1910 and James Bond’s epic golfing duel in the 1964 classic 007 movie ‘Goldfinger’.
The morning’s 9 hole Florida Scramble competition was won by a team Captained by Trident’s Dan Roe comprising Andy Szyman of F & C, Jamie Munday of ING Real Estate and Phil Nash of RBS/Nat West.
The Trident Claret Jug for the afternoon’s individual Stableford competition over the original 18 hole course was won with a superb 41 points by Duncan Mathieson of Highland Developments.
