Trident was appointed by In-Site Property Solutions [In-Site] following being successful in a tender bid for the services required to redevelop and refurbish Craig Mitchell House in Glenrothes. In-Site had recently acquired the site from Scottish Water and planned to sub-divide the existing large open plan warehouse into smaller units of varying sizes in accordance with market requirements.
Trident co-ordinated the team of Structural, Mechanical and Electrical consultants and acted as the Contract Administrator and CDM Co-ordinator. The works were tendered competitively and following a value engineering exercise, started onsite. Due to the demand for the smaller units, the design was altered to further sub-divide a number of the larger units. Finally, following securing a tenant, Insite also instructed Trident to assist in the refurbishment of the two storey office accommodation to the front of the site.
There were some complications on site relating to asbestos removal and drainage alterations however, working closely as a team; the issues were resolved quickly and efficiently.
Following completion of the works, Trident assisted Insite by providing an up to date Building Reinstatement
Cost Assessment to allow the newly provided building to be insured.
