Scope of works
Design and obtain statutory approvals for refurbishment of the 11th floor. Develop client brief. Undertake due diligence inspection surveys of suitable offices. Undertake condition surveys to append to the lease, coordinate asbestos surveys and removal works.
The works included strip out of existing finishes and full category B refurbishment of the floor and furniture installation. The work was undertaken whilst the busy building remained fully occupied.
The key to undertaking much significant works with an occupied building is communication between the contractor and the buildings occupier and strong management of the works.
