Trident was appointed to Project Manage this complex project to deliver five very high quality residential units above four ground floor and basement retail units, just a short walk from London’s Covent Garden and Leicester Square. The Grade II Listed Buildings were dilapidated and had suffered from structural damage and extensive dry and wet rot.
Trident co-ordinated a large team to deliver the scheme including an Architect, Structural Engineer, Mechanical and Electrical Engineer, Conservation specialist, Planning Consultant, Interior Designer and Party Wall Surveyor. The scheme also included construction of a new basement sub-station with pavement access hatch for EDF, and prior to commencement the entire site was stabilised and tanking provided to the basement.
The entire façade was cleaned and new shop-fronts constructed, and a slate and lead roof installed, before the internal refurbishment commenced. The rotten sash windows were faithfully reconstructed and replaced. High quality floor and wall finishes were installed and new lathe and plaster ceilings provided. Kitchens and bathrooms were provided to a very detailed and contemporary style.
