100-101 Fleet Street

Trident was appointed to implement a project of external repairs and redecoration to fourteen elevations around the Bride Court Area of the Fleet Street Conservation Area, including a Grade II Listed building at 100 Fleet Street.

Trident undertook the role of Contract Administrator and utilised core Building Surveying expertise to specify sympathetic and conservation approved repairs to the external building fabric and monitored the works through to completion. Repairs included dry rot treatments, roof repairs, joinery repairs, stone and brickwork repairs, redecoration and masonry cleaning.

Following negotiations with English Heritage and The City of London conservation officers, various test cleans were undertaken of heavily carbon soiled brickwork, before finally adopting a ‘JOS’ clean that utilises a low pressure vortex system, to successfully clean the Fleet Street façade with minimal erosion to the masonry.
